Minting wALGOs

To commit your ALGOs to Algorand Governance and mint wrapped ALGOs, choose “Mint”. Enter the number of ALGOs you wish to commit and you will see the number of wrapped ALGO’s (wALGOs) plus the number of ALLY rewards you will be credited.

Minting wALGOs plus ALLY rewards

Before you can mint wrapped ALGOs, you must opt-in to receive them as an Algorand asset in your wallet. To do this, you will need to sign and complete an opt-in transaction, which is simply an asset transfer with an amount of 0, to your wallet account.

Opt-in to the wALGO asset and pool

Next sign the transaction to mint the wapped ALGOs. Once the transaction completes, you will receive the wrapped ALGOs in your wallet. Note: minting is limited to 10 ALGOs until the protocol has completed a full security audit.
